Young Entertainer Spotlight Festival

Schools, studios, and individual performers in grades 6 - 12 are invited to participate in the annual Young Entertainer Spotlight Festival (YES Fest) - where tomorrow’s stars shine!

 

YES Fest is an educational student theatre competition complete with performances, workshops, adjudication and awards!

Registered student performers:

Will be eligible to participate in one or more theatre arts categories during afternoon or evening time frames on Friday, May 5th.  Improv is in the evening only.

 

Categories include the following:
Ensemble Musical Theatre Number, Improv Troupe, Solos and Duets, and Monologues and Scenes.

 

YES Fest is an in-person festival.  Video submissions are also accepted in all categories except for Improv. 

 

The festival day will includes workshops led by professional theatre teaching artists. YES Fest awards will be announced at the end of the day. All student performers receive a t-shirt. 

To Participate:

Schools/studios and individuals must first register for the festival.

Once registered, you will be invited to apply for one or more performance slots in any of the 4 categories. You will have the option to performing during afternoon or evening time frames. Please note that a limited number of slots are available in each category.  The early registration fee is $50 per school/studio and $15 for individuals.  Additional fees apply for booking a performance slot.
